Objectives

At the end of Step 8, you will:

1. understand the benefits of practicing progressive archiving.
2. know if progressive archiving will be possible for you and your chosen archive, and if not, you will have the tools to practice progressive archiving on your own. 
3. be prepared to archive the materials in your collection in stages.
4. be able to select, organize, and document your data in order to streamline the archiving process and save yourself time.
5. understand innate versioning and if your archive will allow for it.
