Verify that your chosen archive allows for progressive archiving, and if there are any limitations to the processes such as those described here. 

Determine if the repository’s policies allow files to be deleted or access to files to be restricted to only authorized users or for a predetermined amount of time.

Determine how your chosen repository handles versioning.

• If it does not have innate versions, make a plan for how you will handle new versions of archived files.

Start archiving your collection in increments. 

• As you do so, make sure to keep track (in your master metadata) of which files have or have not yet been archived.
